No. 00X - The Fourth Wall
[There sure is a lot of excitement this morning. After getting a vague grip on the situation by talking to some of the wingless newcomers, Layton decides to take a stroll around the village, trunk in hand, and observe. Something very unusual is happening, and there's no point in missing it by staying indoors.
Occasionally, he takes a seat on a bench or at a table and scribbles notes into his journal. Or puzzles into his puzzle index. Because no matter how much hubbub there is, you can never stop the puzzles.]

what a funny way to spell "hell yes"
Yeah, see, I got here and everyone was suddenly running around with wings. Except me. So what the hell. Except not really, because I'm not dead. That's kind of a requirement for angel wings or whatever, right. But I don't know, we've never stopped by a dream bubble full of random winged assholes before. Wait. No, we have. Not like this though. That's the difference. Get it? So I guess what I'm trying to say is even though this place is obviously different, how come I still don't see a single glass of AJ anywhere.
that's a funny way of reading "gtfo!!!"
[Layton was with him up until "dream bubble". If this were one of his students, he would probably be making a mental note to talk to him after class or something.]
I assure you, all of us here are alive. And what do you mean by "AJ"?

If you explain it to me in more detail, I may be able to help you.
[at least make a proper puzzle out of it, jeez]

Dude, I just gave you a fucking monologue of detail. Practically a Shakespearean soliloquy of beautiful Strider poetry for all that you were listening. What more do you want, six seasons and a movie?
no subject
... You're referring to your talk of Jesus and a "dream bubble"? I fail to see how it is related to "AJ".
no subject
They're all so related, they might as well incestuously get married. Though that would make no difference because that's how related they are.

Oh.]
That reminds me of a puzzle.

[Wow, okay.]

No, no. Here, allow me to demonstrate.
[He lifts his trunk to his lap and opens it, revealing it to be filled with one book and a heap of puzzles, which might just look like a trunk full of crap to the general populace. Out of this pile of crap, he expertly reaches in and pulls out a slider puzzle, which he holds out for Dave to take.]
This is what I meant.
